Frozen Pineapple Dessert

Many years ago, sometime in the 50s, my mother frequently made a frozen pineapple dessert in ice cube trays (the old fashioned kind). Although I have her recipe box, I cannot find the recipe. It must have been very simple, using crushed canned pineapple, some kind of whipping cream (I am quite sure Cool Whip was not even invented), a crust made of Vanilla Wafers or Graham Crackers. My mother was not much of a cook, so I assume it was a very simple recipe. I cannot find anything like it. I am pretty sure it did not have sour cream or cream cheese, as we did not even have those around in those days. Does this dessert sound familiar to anyone?
