Frozen custard (better then DQ and Mr Softie)

Ok enough about DQ and Mr Softie. Here is a place that serves rich frozen custard that is as good as it sounds. People come from everywhere to stop here and even thoough it gets crowded they serve people at amazing speed.

Ted Drewes Frozen Custard has been a tradition in St. Louis since 1929. Most items are certified kosher by the St. Louis Vaad and a list is posted on the front of the stand at 6726 Chippewa on the St. Louis' stretch of Old Route 66. The frozen custard is sold in cones, in sundaes and as "concretes," which is the name given to shakes 'so thick you can turn them upside down and they don't fall out of the cup'.

Flavors for sundaes, shakes and concretes include:

Abaco Mocha
Banana
Blueberry
Butterscotch
Caramel
Cherry
Chip
Chocolate
Cookie Dough
Frisco
Heath Bar
Hot Fudge
Lime
M&M
Marshmallow
Mint
Oreo
Peach
Peanut Butter
Pineapple
Pistachio
Pralines
Raspberry
Reese's Peanut -
Butter Cup
Strawberry
Tart Cherry

Almost everything is kosher under the Vaad of St Louis (314-569-0727) with the execption of whipped cream, root beer, and those items made from baked goods. However cookie dough, oreos, are approved. See the Vaad list posted on the front of the 6726 Chippewa stand before ordering. I am not sure if the Grand store is under the Vaad.
