I was listening to a podcast of the NPR program "the Splendid Table" during the bus ride home from work the other day and Jane and Michael Stern were going on and on about the great fried clams they ate at some place in Rhode Island. Obviously, we're a long way from the New England coast, but the podcast got me thinking: I don't think I've ever eaten fried clams here in Phoenix. Does anyplace here make them particularly well?
