Fried Clams at Hingham Lobster Pound

chuck s | Apr 3, 2008 02:04 PM

I usually don't think of the South Shore for fried clams being from the North Shore and all but I finally made it to the Hingham Lobster Pound. The clams were excellent. I had a clam roll for $9.50. The clams were large Maine clams fried crisp but not heavy or greasy. The clams were delicious. It came served on a hamburger bun which didn't matter since I only eat the clams. They were among the best I've had. Brought a lobster roll home for my wife, cost $11.99 and she judged it to be delicious. Small pieces of knuckle meat and just the right amount for her.

Now whenever I'm on route 3 I'll have to stop by. If only in knew some shortcuts.
