For years we would go up to this restaurant and have dinner on the patio. A basket of fried clams and fries... Lucious !!! The last time we went I was busy swatting a bee busing around my head (maybe because of the tons of flowers around the patio) and I swatted my wine glass instead of the bee. Now (the waitor graciously replaced my glass of wine) I know that the retaurant did not close because of that but they did close shortly thereafter. No where in this major city can I now buy fried clams. Recently a major upscape restaurant we go to offered this but the clams were more authenic rather than fast food. Too tough and too chooey. I don't know what the difference is but I ask you... should I just reconcile myself to going to the east end of say South Carolina or North Carolina to enjoy this great dish! Give me some direction on this.
