I'll be traveling in MS in a few weeks and have room in my stomach for only one meal.
I've found two perfect places but can't decide which one:
TWO SISTERS in Jackson vs. OLD COUNTRY STORE in Lorman.
Both get rave reviews on TripAdvisor and Yelp. Both were featured on TV: Two Sisters on Man v Food and OCS was exalted by Alton Brown as the best fried chicken on The Best Thing I Ever Ate. And it's hard to come by a "Best Fried Chicken" list that doesn't include one or other.
As far as having an authentic Mississippi experience, both are good, but different. Two Sisters is in an old Victorian in a historic part of the big city while OCS is a shack on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere.
There doesn't appear to be a clear cut winner. Help!
Also, anyone know how much the Sunday buffets cost and if they offer a la cart? I just might have to stop at both!
