Huge bubbling bowlful of fish stew, plus extremely tasty black beans, & rice, a bargain at $9 ($11 w/shrimp) if you can deal with the at least 2 portions worth (I have a pile of leftovers in the fridge). Went wanting a huge late lunch and couldn't come close to finishing it. This is one of their weekly plates o' the day, but it's also on the regular menu for $13/15. Expresso for $1.50, to ward off food coma.
Other weekly specials include oxtails Tues., chicken w/okra Wed., feijoada Sat., and most are not on the regular menu. They usually run out by 6 when the buffet is closed down. Which also looked good, and larger than I remembered it being.
