My husband and I along with friends took the ferry to Friday Harbor on whatever Island that lives on. Sorry clueless. Is it San Juan Island? Anyway, while sitting at our table, bread was brought over along with a complex butter of roasted red peppers. The color beautiful, the texture perfect, the flavor the best, the problem, I can not duplicate it for the life of me and would love to. The lady friend with us said to me that she has asked them on occasion to no avail. They won't part with their recipe which is fine but I need help duplicating it if anyone out there is a pro and wouldn't mind walking me through it. My version, very watery. My version, lacking majorly in flavor. My version, not pretty in color, not right in consistency, not good at all and a huge waste of very good butter.
Any and all help, maybe compiled, would be appreciated. TIA... :)
