"FRESHWAY FOODMART, First Markham Place" - For exotic fruits and hard-to-find seafood and meat, this place is tough to beat!

Ontario (inc. Toronto) Seafood Beef Wagyu Fruit Where to Buy...

Wearing two masks and armed with a single shot of Pfizer vaccine, I went on a crazy, bank-breaking, grocery shopping spree this lunch time at 'Freshway, Markham'.
Picked and bought some interesting finds from an array of impressive, eye-opening 'exotic fruit ' display.
Following is a sample list of 'less common' products.......... just tip of the iceberg:
Taiwanese Red Oranges, Original Fuji Apple from Japan ($4 each ), Columbia Sugar Mango ( $6.99 pp ), Purple Musk Melon from Japan ( $28.99 pp or each? ), Flora Mango from Peru ($9.99 pp ), Elephant Tusk Mangoes from Thailand and Vietnam ($11.99 pp ), Exotic Asian Pears from Japan, Korea and China........etc.
Also came across/bought Australian 9+ Wagyu Striploin, live Alaskan Red & Crystal Crabs and Shell-on, Giant Diver Scallops with Roe in the seafood and butcher sections.

I was actually more impressed with the 'Taiwanese Red Oranges'! Very sweet with negligible acidity and extremely juicy....may be the juiciest varietal I've come across. Very thin skin but they do have seeds!

Nice haul Charles. The Wagyu looks below par IMO for the price they are charging. Having tried the Aussie Wagyu at Costco several times I think I will just bite the bullet and order the one Costco sell online from Japan as it has great feedback.
Can't comment much on the fruit except the mangoes (which aren't really mangoes IMO :)
