Fresh Turkeys ARE Available in S.D.

I know it's a little late in the game for Thanksgiving, but if anyone is still in search of a fresh (never frozen), free-range, organic (i.e. no hormones or pesticieds in the feed) turkey for Thanksgiving then get yourself down to Bay Park and check out Seisel's Old Fashioned Meats. They had Diestel turkey's, both fresh and frozen, in a variety of sizes. Diestel turkey's are kind of like the Mercedes Benz of turkeys, good and reliable :-).

We were going to go out for Thanksgiving this year, but plans change and I'm cooking now. I picked up a "petite" turkey. It weighs all of about 8 1/2 pounds. Price was $2.69/pound. For a fresh, free-range, organic turkey, I thought this was an awfully fair price. The rest of the meat case looked equally inviting, I'll be making a trip back very soon to stock up the freezer with other goodies.
