We will be in a VRBO for Christmas week. We arrive Sat. 12/23. Where can I buy a 24# bird to cook on Christmas day? No time to thaw a frozen one and everyone wants to eat IN that day.
I don't have an answer to your inquiry, but you may do well to tag this Southwest and Tucson, it's only showing up under Meal Planning
I would try Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. They are usually the only places that have fresh turkeys for Thanksgiving, so they will likely be the places where you can get a fresh one for Christmas. I'd call ahead of time, though, for one as large as a 24 pounder.
Edit: You could also likely get one at Dickman's, but you will definitely need to call ahead.
Call AJ Fine Foods and Sprouts, in addition to Whole Foods and Dickman's. I agree w/ missvenuz about the 24#.
