Fresh sugarcane juice at Padaria Brasil

wu12 | May 31, 201504:39 PM     3

This is not news, but I had been looking for fresh sugarcane juice for a long time, a la what's readily available in Singapore. Somehow I was always disappointed at Thai, Vietnamese and Indian places -- the 'fresh' juice was either old (read: nearly gone bad), very watered down, and/or tasted like a bottled/canned/packaged product. I happened in Padaria Brasil in Allston the other day, and lo and behold saw a sugarcane juicer right behind the counter -- and immediately ordered and got a delicious cup of juice. I was very very pleased.
