This morning, after my weekly stop in Flushing for breakfast, I walked past Corner 28 on my way to the LIRR. One of the windows where they usually sell the Peking duck buns now seems to have someone making fresh rice noodles to order. She has some kind of small baking oven, with several trays, and when someone orders she puts a small amount of filling on the tray, ladles some thin batter on top, and puts it in the oven. Soon after, a delicious looking rice noodle appears. The "menu" taped to the window was only in Chinese. If I wasn't so full from breakfast down the street, I would have ordered some. I'll definitely get some on my next visit, though.
