Hi all - long time reader, first time poster here. I've tried to dig through the boards to find other threads on this, and I believe I'm posting to the right place, but if I've committed and board faux pas (I'm not new to message boards :) feel free to let me know.
I have a big problem that I'm hoping to get some advice on. We subscribe to a local organic co-op produce delivery service. The produce is just beautiful and helps us eat well.
However, we have a side-by side fridge with ONE crisper drawer. We're also renting, so getting a new fridge is out of the question.
Fridges are obviously designed for the "traditional" american diet which unfortunately doesn't require a ton of storage considerations for fresh produce.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to store large bundles of fresh chard, whole beets without chopping off the good green stems, etc? I just unpacked our fresh box and our one drawer is already full. I feel so depressed that I might not be able to eat it all before it goes bad!
Any thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks everyone! Glad to be an official member now!
