Mushroom season is coming up. Does anyone know a source for fresh Porcini in or around the city. Long ago there was a guy from Chile (ex-lawyer) selling wild mushrooms every second Thursday at Granville Island. Is this guy still around? Are Pine Mushrooms another name for Porcini and Cepes. Maybe some one knows someone in the Italian or French community who has a source. By the way went to Wild Rice a couple of weeks ago. The food was great and so was the service, but the highlight of the meal was the funky desserts and the tea. Don't overlook the rice milk creme brule.
