At the huge new Chinese supermarket around the corner, they had what was labeled as lentils in bags. They caught my eye from a distance because they resembled the Italian style green beans that I love, but were more slender. When I saw that they were fresh lentils I was surprised because I have never seen these anywhere.
Has anyone ever worked with fresh lentils? The pods were so fresh and green that I even wonder if they can be used whole. I am going to go back tomorrow and get them just so I can try them (they were only $2.49/lb) but I'd love some help on what to do.
