I am blessed with an abundance of fresh figs, in a household of philistines who don't appreciate them. I also am selfish, and want to enjoy these as long as possible (as opposed to sharing, which I know is a virtue, but virtue is tough sometimes). Do figs freeze well? Is there another alternative, that will preserve their figgy goodness (without tarting it up in a tapenade or something, which I am sure is good, but unadulterated figness is what I seek). Thanks.
