On the way to the chowdown at La Simpatia in Guadalupe, I noticed a sign for "Fresh Eggs" on Route 1. I'm one who normally brakes for fresh eggs, but I was running a little late and did not have time to stop.

On my way back, I did pull in here. The sign is on the west side of the highway, just south of Woodland Hills Road in Arroyo Grande.

I did not spot any chickens running around, but the stand itself is pretty cute.

Sadly, the eggs were already sold out for the day. But I hope someone else can tell us about them. They're $4 per dozen.

The egg honor stand is on Kip Lane.

Other sources of fresh eggs in San Luis Obispo County can be found on Craigslist.
