Really, really fresh eggs

Pat Hammond has written on the New England board about straight-from-the-hennery fresh eggs in Maine. Does anyone know of similar sources in the tri-state area?

Short of finding an actual hennery, are there sources for REALLY fresh eggs, especially in NYC? By this I mean eggs whose whites are still so coherent that the yolks stand up in them. These are eggs that can be poached by simply slipping them in water.

While the eggs available at the Union Square greenmarket are popular, I have found that they are not consistently fresh by this standard. Jen Kalb mentions a source at the Grand Army Plaza. Jen, do these eggs meet these criteria? On what days are they available?
