Fresh and Dried Mushrooms Supplier

A few days ago someone mentioned that they would like to know where they can get fresh Porcini Mushrooms. Been having problems with my computer, so I am responding now.

For mushroom lovers everywhere, I can recommend Earthy Delights in Michigan. They ship fresh wild mushrooms in season (which is just around the corner), and dried all year long. I have ordered from them, and I know that a half-pound bag of dried mushrooms is a lot cheaper than the little bags some grocers offer, and the slices are a lot bigger. You can subscribe to their newsletter so that you get notice when the fresh porcini, morels, chantrelles, etc. are ready for shipping. They also have some nice recipes, though heavy on the morels and chantrelles side.

By the way, I bought some snap top plastic containers to store the dried mushrooms that I ordered. I found just the right size at my super market.

Bon apetit!
