Have found a pleasing-looking recipe in an Amish cookbook I've been enamoured with - one for fresh made dumplings, simmered over maple syrup, with a bit of fresh cream poured over the top. Was going to awaken girlfriend with these dumplings in a day or two.
I have pretty decent maple syrup (though suggestions would be welcome). But my local cream supplies are completely inadequaete. Any suggestions for really fresh, full-dairy-flavor fresh cream?
