Fresh crabcakes to go at BWI??

Mallomar | May 22, 2006 04:49 PM

I seem to remember that I once saw something, somewhere, saying that travelers could buy fresh Maryland crabcakes, packed in dry ice, to carry on to flights out of BWI.

A friend from out of town is going back home tomorrow from BWI and has expressed a desire to take crabcakes home with her, so I'm trying to find out if I was hallucinating or if there really is a source for carryout/carryon crabcakes.

I know I've seen people get on flights out of BWI toting cardboard boxes of crab, but I don't know if they got them at the airport, or picked them up elsewhere on their way to the airport.

I checked the BWI website, but all I found was a reference to Celebrate Maryland, which apparently only sells frozen crabcakes (e.g., from Phillips) and that's not what we're looking for.
