Has anyone seen fresh Brazilian Malagueta Peppers, especially in San Francisco?
I'm making a fresh Molho Apimentado (Malagueta Hot Sauce) and I need peppers by tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon!
I figure I'll call Mercado Do Brasil (on Valencia) later this morning to see if they have a source.
P.S. I already have a fallback just in case... The malagueta is about a 9 on the heat scale. If needed, I may substitute 2 green thai chiles (heat 7-8) and 1 habanero (heat 10) to every 3 malaguetas.
