French pastries/macaroons

ljohaines | Mar 22, 2009 11:21 AM

Do you know of a French bakery in Seattle that makes macaroons (the real kind, not the coconut type we Americans are used to)?
We ate some heavenly almond/amaretto ones in Paris and have been seeking them ever since. One of our local French restaurants made some for us, but they were chocolate and not what we were looking for. We've even made them ourselves, but we are not pastry chefs, so not "it". Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
