For many years, I was under the impression that the type food served in such places as Antoine's, Arnaud's,Galatoirs Etc. were French cusine. I have since been educated to the correct gender. However, what exactly is French food? Obviously Italian, Mexican etc is easly regonizable, but I have not a clue to what French is. The baked fish dishes with the sauces, oysters prepared with sauces etc. are all Creole as I'm told, therefore is there any French resturants around?
