French cheese danish

Monica | Mar 28, 201412:30 PM

I did a little search and most recipes call for mixture of cream cheese, egg yorks and either macarpone cheese or ricotta cheese for filling.
They all don't sound French to me. I just had really tasty cheese danish from a local French bakery which I want to make over the weekend with Trader Joe's pastry sheets. Any idea what French are using to make cheese danish? creme fraiche with egg yorks maybe?
