Hello all, I'm looking for a rabbit recipe my French Canadian boyfriend's mother made each Christmas Eve to eat before going to church at midnite. We lived in Halifax, NS. My memory is a little fuzzy 'cause I'm going back to the late '60s and being a teenager and only the g/f for a few Xmas’s I guess I was not overly interested in family recipes. LOL But I still think about how good it was and scan the internet occasionally but haven’t found anything similar yet. Mostly I remember that several (many) rabbits were probably braised with onions, veggies & spices. The meat then picked from the bones and mixed with ???. The meaty mixture was then placed on and encased in homemade french bread dough much the same way you would prepare Beef Wellington and baked and sliced to serve.
