I've been living in Edison Park for about 8 months now, and have been delighted with the range of chow options in the surrounding area --Italian, Deveon Avenue Indian, Eastern European, German, Thai, etc., etc. However, the one place I haven't found is a good French bistro-style place.
To help you get a sense of what I'm looking for, my favorites are Le Sardine, Kikis, and Le Bouchon, in that order. Places that can do the standard steak frites and escargot, but offer some interesting specials and more unusual dishes as well (rabbit livers,sweetbreads, etc.)
Does anyone have any suggestions in the for similar places on the northwest side or in the northwest and northern suburbs?
