freezing pancetta and prosciutto

Got some nice quantities of each while my favorite local italian supplier was moving shop and ditching old inventory. Can I freeze both or either, assuming that they will be used in cooking later on, without either increasing the saltiness, or ruining other aspects of the flavor? I expect the pancetta will be just fine, but I hesitate to throw the leaner prosciutto in the freezer if it'll ruin it.
