freezing lentils

drdawn | Sep 19, 2003 06:46 AM

Like them but the boyfriend doesn't, which means when I make them I always have more than I can eat (as I can't bear to keep the pot on the stove that long with puny results). Anybody's experience with freezing them? I was thinking about freezing them plain, and then adding whatever mixed-in goodies I wanted once unfrozen.

I know lentils in soups fare okay frozen, but I've got a thing for puy lentils at the moment and I really don't like them too mushy.
