Un-Freezing Black Truffles

I bought a few black truffles in Italy last week and didn't have a chance to cook till tonight. (They were vacuum sealed.) In the meantime I read on here that I should freeze the truffles to save them. But now that I am ~8 hours from cooking... what do I do? Should I thaw them in the refrigerator? Should I just slice them frozen? Any suggestions?
