I've read many posts in the last few weeks about what to do with an overabundance of fruits. Some people comment that they don't know anything about canning. To those fortunate people who have extra fruit and don't know anything about canning, you should make freezer jam!!
It is super easy and the jam tastes just like the fresh fruit. Cooked jam just doesn't have that pure fruit taste to me. Several weeks ago I went out to the strawberry farm and bought the greatest strawberries. I went and bought some jars (half-pint) and some Sure Jell. (I don't work for Sure Jell or anything, it is just the brand I used)
The recipe for the freezer jam is inside the Sure Jell pack.
My jam is delicious! Basically, all you do is mash up the fruit with sugar, boil the pectin and mix. I never knew anything about freezer jam before, so I thought I would send along this fun tip!
