I bought a 5 lb bag of frozen strawberries on sale at Wegman's & would like to puree them to use to flavor water. I'd just use a little at a time. Does this work okay in ice cube trays, then transferred to baggies? I won't be sweetening them. I have a vague memory of freezing reduced stock that way & having it get mushy; maybe that's unavoidable with a home freezer compartment.
