Forks up for El Llano

Orgullo de Mexico | Mar 31, 2003 12:32 PM

Just wanted to praise the food at El Llano (colombian cuisine). Our party of 3 dined last night. One of us had Matrimonio, which included a hearty piece of steak and chicken with sweet banana, potato and fried yucca. Out of this world. The other two in our party both had Bandeja Paisa, which included steak, morcilla, chicharron, rice and fried egg. We also enjoyed appetizers of empanadas and tostones.

We believe El Llano rates a very, very close second to Las Tablas.

The decor of this new location (previously at 3900 N. Lincoln) is very bright and cheerful.

You may bring your own alcohol.

Be advised, the menu is entirely in Spanish.
