Fork in San Anselmo

Went to Fork last week and had a really nice time/good meal. My friend ordered the prix fixe for $19.95 and thought that everything was excellent. I forget what her starter was, but her pork chop entree was great and the butterscotch pudding dessert was awesome (I tried it too). I had foie gras to start and it was excellent. I had Black Cod for my entree, also excellent and cooked perfectly with some nice veggies in a light lemon buerre blanc sauce. I ordered the cheese plate for dessert and it was a nice selection of 3 cheeses with some sliced apple drizzled with garlic olive oil. They were really nice to us even though we'd just come from hiking and had our not so elegant attire on. My last name happens to be Fork and the manager noticed this and gave me some postcards and stuff. It's a tiny little place, but pleasant and fairly casual considering the type of food they're serving. We got there right when they opened at 5:30 on a Thursday, but they were getting busier by the time that we left. I'd definitely go back again.
