Greetings,

I have avoided posting about my favorate local gem because I didn't want to compete with other hounds for a table, so this is past due.

If you are in Napa don't miss the Foothill Cafe. We took a party of 5 there for a birthday celebration, and, as always, left quite happy. This place used to be Napa's lone BBQ joint. Sadly that didn't catch on. But the former owner had no choice but to leave the brick oven behind. the entree's; veal rib chop and shrimp surf and turf, BBQ ribs, pork loin with mustard sauce, poached sea bass, and a mixed grill 3 way of Ribs, chicken, and home made hot links. All winners. Even my veal wasn't overcooked! Most of these were served with buttermilk mashed potatoes and al dente sauted vegetables. Hounds, when in Napa give the Foothill Cafe a try, it will add to your experiance.
