Well, I had already made plans to have dim sum at Fook Yuen with a friend before I read all the gripes about the rude service and sub-par food. Maybe it's crappy for dinner, but the dim sum was DELISH. We didn't have anything outrageously unusual, although the little crocks of soup with a huge dumpling in the middle were pretty special. Great gai lan, little fingers of tofu wrapped in seaweed and fried with panko or something, a small plate with seaweed salad and little tiny octopi, complete with bodies and bright red (kind of disturbing to eat, but delicious), chive dumplings, and shrimp/scallop dumplings too. They DID bring us water right away when we asked, teapot was kept refilled, and even though we are a pair of white chicks, they did offer us the chicken feet. The service was smiley and breezy, not a problem.

I can't wait to go back.
