Whole Foods Cut Fruit--nail polish smell?

PeterHG | Dec 18, 201805:42 PM     6

Last week we bought a quart container of Whole Foods precut and mixed berries, and a half pint of pomegranate seeds. Delicious! (so please spare me the scolding on being overpriced) Three days later the remains of both smelled and tasted like nail polish.

Kinda freaked out, I called the manager (Fresh Pond location). He was very nice and said he'd investigate, give us our money back, etc. But he did not say that he was surprised or that nothing was in there but berries. (OK, I should have asked) But now I'm asking you--any thoughts or knowledge here?
