I will start by mentioning Mercato in Red Hook (10 mins from the Taconic, west on 199) as a great place to enjoy great food not far off of the highway. I would also say The Daily Planet Diner works on a lot of different fronts for lunch and dinner and is only 1 min off of the Taconic west on 55. It is not spectacular but it does have something appealing. I am sure there is many more places out there.
