Tremont street has at least three new food venues under construction, some recent additions, and prospects of 2-3 more when Atelier | 505 opens next spring. There is a new market called Lionette's (owners of Garden of Eden) that I had hoped would add some choices not now available at South End Formaggio or Foodies', unfortunately other than a dependable supply of basil I am not finding much of note in there. I had hoped for some Quebec and European cheeses I find at Whole Foods, but no luck at Lionette's
I count three new venues under construction: Perdix, and two new places being opened by Barbara Lynch of No. 9 Park: a butcher/charcouterie in the former Cafe le Gamin space, and an esspresso/wine/oyster bar in the old Rave space. That can only be an improvement.
Does anyone have reliable information on the talk of a Todd English restaurant at Atelier | 505, or Savenor's also opening there in '04? Any news on Silver Line Kitchen in Wilkes Passage on Washington St?
