I just did something pretty dumb. I have a couple plants outside a window and I've been having trouble with bugs getting through the edges of a screen in the window. Someone told me to spray the edges with bug spray to deter the bugs but I totally forgot to move the plants before I sprayed and I just stood there and watched as the spray landed on the leaves.

What, if anything, can I do to make them safe to eat? Pour boiling water on them? Rinse with soap? Cook 'em? Call it in as today's 17th stupid episode of the day?

(if it makes any difference, it's a pot of mint and a pot of swiss chard.) Thanks.
