Food on the run - literally

jsaimd | May 24, 2011 07:03 PM

I will be in Seattle for a conference in early June and have Saturday AM, early PM free. I love to run and thought I would take long run, with stops on the way to grab some grub. June is so lovely in Seattle. Some I won't eat, but can carry in a small daypack. I could eat some small treats or more towards the end of the run.

So - here is the challenge... something relatively light but very tastey, must be gluten free (but they don't need a gluten free menu), and not too expensive, within say 5 miles of downtown (staying near the convention center). Also, any treats that would fun to pick up that aren't too bulky. Help me plan a 10-13 mile run.

And I guess phase two would be anywhere within say a couple of miles that would have great food, or fun top notch gluten-free baked goods, chocolate, ice cream.

I will probably hit up Palace Kitchen again, the Pikes place market, maybe Sitka and Spruce if it fits in the budget or Matt's at the market.

I'm from the San Francisco area.
