Now that it seems more likely that winter will finally end, I am dreaming about basil and pesto in particular. I've been making pesto with my crappy blender, and not making dips and such that I like that really need a food processor, so I'm ready to make the plunge. But what size do I really need? I've never made much in the way of pizza dough and such, but then, I've never had a food processor. If I'm going to get one, I'd rather get a good one that I can use for a long time and that's multi-functional. Is 7-cups big enough for mixing dough? I've been looking at recipes, and they all just say, put it in the food processor without specifying the size of the bowl. Are food processors really good for mixing dough, v. something like a stand mixer?
