I am planning another trip to Japan ( Tokyo, Hiroshima, Nara and Osaka) with a person who eats no red meat and limited chicken. I am gluten intolerant so I cannot have wheat or soy sauce. Makes for complicated dining but we usually do ok- I find that in Japan, I don't want my travel companions to miss certain places so I often either go my own way, or figure out something on the menu that fits the bill. We tend to eat a lot of sushi as our "middle ground" option, so I am fairly confident in my choices. but...
I think that Shotai-en ( Tokyo) has some fish options- yes?
Does anyone know about Steak Ron in Osaka? We were looking for another place for beef that would have something for a non meat eater
How difficult would it be to find something at Umenohana without soy sauce ( soy is fine, soy sauce is made with wheat)?
I may have asked this question on previous trips ( I have searched the archives) but if anyone has any ideas about gluten free dining in any of these cities, I would welcome it.
