I am a NYC hound and would like to take a two day trip somewhere I can kick back, eat some excellent, fresh seafood in an informal setting, and relax.
Since food will be one of the primary reasons for my trip, I prefer a destination which has a concentration of quality eating establishments. I understand that this is a food board, but a scenic town/city would also be desirable.
I eat out frequently and get enough highbrow food as it is in the city. I'm not interested in getting dressed up.
I'm thinking fish shack. Not Per Se.
Now, I'm aware of the red tide outbreak but my understanding is that this is only carried carried by some shellfish but not by fish, lobster or crabs.
Will this adversly affect my experience?
I'm willing to travel up to 5 hours (by car) from NYC.
