Enjoyed a (too short) visit to Ft. Worth this week. As previous posters have mentioned, Angelo's was the real deal! They do not have ribs like that here in Baltimore! The chicken was from heaven also! And the people, the cook, the waitress - nice to the point of being downright sweet. A great experience - well worth a $6 cab ride from Sundance Square.
By the way, Ryscki's BBQ was OK - but the chicken absolutely could not compare to Angelo's.
La Familia restaurant on 7th Street was darn good, and jam-packed at lunch time. The whole fried Catfish at La Playa Maya near the Stockyards had the sweetest fish-flesh I ever tasted. They also had the best guacamole I ever tried.
The Marble Slab ice cream shop downtown was also darn good - somewhat irresistable.
Interested in hearing other folks impressions of recent dinners in Fort Worth.
