Food for Flying?

jaweino | Jul 6, 200212:52 AM

Since most airline food is fairly awful, I try to bring something on board that I will enjoy more. This is fairly easy when returning to San Francisco, since I usually leave in the afternoon, and can pick up something on the way to airport. I've brought deli sandwiches from NY, subs roast beef, and even fried clams from Boston, BBQ sandwiches from Kansas City, etc.

The problem in flying out of San Francisco to the east is that most of the time I leave to early to pick up something. Many of the things I would like to take get soggy if left overnight.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for dealing with this dilemma?
