Food fair by Diego- so good!

kavatee | Oct 27, 201010:26 AM     2

I live in the neighborhood, and have always avoided this place because 1) it always looked empty to me 2) I'm a graphic designer and I was put off by the cartoony logo (I know, it's a horrible bias). However, I stopped in for lunch the other day drawn in by the$6 lunch specials. We had one italian sausage sandwich and one french dip. It came with a side order of salad or fries. Everything was delicious.

It was so good my husband and I ordered take out for dinner. We shared the burger and beet salad. The burger is huge and comes with BBQ sauce and onion strings. It's amazing!!!! I love the golden state boys (we've eaten our way through their menu)... but Diego's burger kicks their ass.

The following weekend we had the tomato bisque and a goat cheese sandwich. Again- perfect.

The restaurant doesn't "date night" ambiance- but they have great food, at a great price, and it's walking distance from my house. This place is going into our heavy rotation list of restaurants.
