Food crawl down Reseda Blvd. - somewhat long

Chris | Jun 12, 200509:41 PM

Although it doesn't receive much attention, press, or acclaim for its culinary offerings, Reseda has, over the past decade, evolved into a choice location for a wide range of good ethnic restaurants with a large majority of them located on or around Reseda Blvd. Husband and I just had a quick dinner at House of Kabob last night and we were discussing all the restaurants that we've tried in the area that we've enjoyed over the past few months. Here's a partial listing of these restaurants: House of Kabob--"It's All Good" (Persian), French Bakery/Patisserie (Persian/French), A&W BBQ & Seafood (Chinese), Top Thai, Taco Llama, Las Fuentes, Melody's (Mexican)[note: Las Fuentes, Melody's and Sol y Luna all owned by same family], La Parilla, and Pho So 1 (Vietnamese) and those are just a few of the many restaurants located primarily between Victory and Saticoy on Reseda Blvd. that we have tried personally. And there are so many more places to investigate in the neighborhood like the panderias, Asian markets, etc. If it's any indication of quality or authenticy, all of these restaurants are patronized by immigrants of that culture. And, as an added bonus, all of these places are wonderfully affordable. We think these are Chowhounder finds. I'm sure I've missed a few so if there are others, feel free to share! Also interested in others' opinions of aforementioned restaurants.
