Food Cabin (yeah, that's the name)

This place is on the south side of Valley Blvd, just west of Temple City Blvd, next to the car wash. There used to be a bad Vietnamese restaurant in this space, called Pho King (yeah, that was the name).

Pan fried small bao (sheng jian bao) are terrific, like pot stickers, except made with biscuit dough. The specialty of the house is a kind of drunken chicken (tai bai ji). It's marinated in alcohol (and fried shallots I think), then steamed. My new favorite food. If you can't find it on the menu, just point to the $9.90 special in the plastic holder on every table. Pan fried Chinese chive dumplings (jiu cai he zi) were good, but not great.
